RCCS’s board of directors includes world-famous oncologists, and its staff, including volunteers, numbers in the dozens. Thousands of ordinary people — people like you — are partners in their life-saving work. And nearly 170 cancer patients today, owe their health insurance policies to RCCS’s assistance.
In 2002, the Pediatric Cancer Care Society (PCCS) was launched as a subsidiary of RCCS in memory of Tzipporah Faiga Gelb, a young girl who lost her life in a tragic car accident. PCCS amplifies RCCS’s work with the families of cancer-stricken children.
Despite its growth, RCCS remains focused on its original mission: ensuring that cancer patients have access to the best medical care possible by paying their health insurance premiums. Every day, as the insurance bills arrive, the RCCS staff sees the fruits of their labor.

Still under Mr. Kohn’s direction, RCCS does not rest. It cannot; on Mr. Kohn’s desk is a troubling stack of papers: dozens of new applications for RCCS’s aid. RCCS cannot accept every applicant, yet it must accept every applicant.
