RCCS does more than fund miracles. Our patients become part of our family.
RCCS, feeling the financial burden of these families, has instituted many non-insurance related programs to help alleviate – somewhat – a portion of their financial and emotional suffering.
This past year, RCCS, in collaboration with an anonymous donor, sent out over $100,000 worth of school scholarships towards tuitions for children in the New York area. These children either have parents or siblings diagnosed with cancer and are, themselves, going through very tough times.
For the past four years, RCCS has been sending out Chanukah Gifts to sick children and children of parents or siblings stricken by cancer. The gifts are welcomed with screams of delight, allowing these children to enjoy a brief respite from their dreary, sickness-filled, days This past Purim, with overwhelming support from our Ladies Auxiliary, RCCS  initiated  its Purim Shalach Monos Program, sending out close to 200 packages, each containing gifts for every member of the family of parents or siblings stricken with cancer.
Kudos to our sponsors from AF Productions and other private sponsors who helped RCCS send children of our patients to Chol Hamoed retreats throughout the tri-state area Every possibility of helping our fellow brothers and sisters is what we stand for. The motto, “Compassion is Stronger than Cancer", impels RCCS  to find innovative ways to ease the burden of cancer-stricken families with programs like Pesach cleaning, and volunteer babysitting services.
